Compensation packages are like the carrot in front of the horse when it comes to attracting quality employees. Even a small difference in compensation packages can lead an applicant to accept a position at a competing company. Salary is very important in this matter, but so are non-monetary bonuses.

Today's professionals have come to expect perks when they accept new jobs, and will be looking for the employer with the incentives that most closely match what they've envisioned for themselves. If it is possible for a business to offer something unexpected in its incentive package, then a potential employee may be more excited about working there.
